Have any of you ever heard of a person being a night owl? That is a person who works best at night and sleeps in the daytime. Well, your Grandma Case is a night owl!
Tonight, outside my open bedroom window there are two owls "Who whoing" at each other. One will "hooo" and the other will anwer. They whoo about one sixth apart. It sounds like G above middle C and the B below middle C on yhe piano. Sometimes their who's are short toots, very staccato and others are long toots. I was reading a book and coughing and really wishing I could fall asleep, so I went back to bed and those silly owls are still hooting out there! They have been hooting for at least three hours. Maybe they are like Uncle Chuck and Aunt Caty who "who-who" on their computers, or maybe they are like Brianna and her fiance, hooting longingly over the distance by email. I wonder what size owls they are. They don't sound as big as Winnie the Pooh's Owl. Hey, maybe they are hoot owls! hahahahaha Grandma just wishes they would hoot out a lullaby so that she could drift off to sleep.
AJ could hoot on his trumpet if he used a mute.
What instrument do you think would make a good owl?
a. a violin
b. a clarinet
c. a recorder
d. a cello
Well, tata for now. Tell Sheppy not to bark at the hooters!
Yawn, Gran...........maaaa

Mom, you know what hooters are, right? Besides owls. I think a clarinet would be the best owl, but Jen says a recorder.
You are sooo good! the hooters thing was a joke for the adults that read my grndma blogs. Hugs to all
